Unless asked to include a simple gradient/repetitive pattern background, these images will be transparent once finished.

Halfbodies/Busts

A bust shot is a chest-up piece of your character while a halfbody is a hips-up piece.
These can also be done icon style and can request a simple repetitive gradient background.

I currently find fullbodies for humanoids challenging because I'm still learning how to correctly draw clothing!
Feel free to suggest posing/expressions for your character.
